The Pieces of a Tow Quote
| Piece | What it covers | Our policy |
|---|---|---|
| Hook-up | The base fee to dispatch the truck, connect to your vehicle and load it | Quoted upfront by phone |
| Mileage | The distance from pickup to drop-off | Quoted upfront by phone as a trip total |
| Vehicle and truck type | A small sedan on a wheel-lift costs less than an AWD SUV on a flatbed | Based on the truck we must send |
| Recovery work | Winching from a ditch, extra labor or specialized gear | Stated on the call, based on your description |
| Time of day | After-hours, weekends and holidays | Any such charge is stated on the call, not added later |
| Storage | Holding the vehicle at a yard | $0 while we repair the vehicle with us |
Why We Quote Before the Truck Rolls
Tow pricing has a reputation for surprises. A low hook fee can be followed by a high mileage rate, a storage charge or a fee for the winch. We prefer a different approach: tell us where you are, what you drive and where it is going, and we give you one total or a clear range before the truck is assigned.
If conditions change on site, such as a car that is deeper in a ditch than described, the driver calls you before doing extra work. Nothing is added silently.
Why Where the Tow Ends Matters
A cheap tow to a distant lot can be an expensive decision. You may pay for the tow to the lot, a daily storage fee, a second tow to a repair shop and a repair bill from a shop you did not pick. A tow to our shop at 1007 Logan Ave replaces all of that with one job. There is no storage fee while the repair is in progress, and the tow itself is discounted when the repair is done with us.
If you prefer to go elsewhere, that is fine. We deliver to any address, and the quote includes the mileage.
Insurance and Reimbursement
Many auto policies and motor clubs reimburse towing up to a limit. We provide an itemized receipt for your insurer or club. Check your policy before you call so that you know your limit, and keep in mind that coverage differs between plans.
These are carriers whose customers often ask for receipts. We are not affiliated with them.
Other Services Priced Separately
Roadside services like jump starts, lockouts and fuel delivery are flat-rate calls with no mileage charge in town. Tire mounting and balancing at our shop is from $15–$25 / tire. Repair work is estimated at the counter before it begins. See our roadside assistance and tire center pages for details.
“Our rule is simple: if you cannot repeat the price back to us before we leave, we did not explain it well enough.”
